The group staff is available to address any questions or service
issues for College faculty and staff. Departmental Technical Contacts
are aware of available services and support provided by Center
personnel and can typically address many questions. When necessary,
the Technical Contacts elevate questions or issues to personnel
of the Network Support Group.
During normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., individuals
experiencing networking difficulties are encouraged to call their
departmental Technical Contact to ascertain if the problem is
local to their system or of a broader nature. However, Center
personnel can be contact via the previously listed phone numbers
or email addresses. In the event no one is available using the
aforementioned communications techniques, the Center operates
a Network and Computing Support Hotline … 814-863-3741.
Individuals experiencing network communications difficulties
during non-business hours or on weekends can call the University’s
Network Support Operations Center (NOC) line at 814-865-4662
and log a “trouble ticket.” Individuals at the
NOC will contact Center personnel of reported networking problems.
Calls can also be placed to 814-880-5231 during non-business
hours or in an emergency to report networking and computing
difficulties.
